You may get this error due to damaged windows files, incorrect configuration of internet explorer or internet explorer digital signature verification.

How to Fix Quickbooks 15215 Error

There are few steps which we need to follow to get this fix:-

• You need to verify USE TLS 1.1 and 1.2 are unchecked and use TLS 1.0 is checked in the internet options of Internet Explorer.

You need to open Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Settings > Now look for Use TLS 1.0 ,1.1 and 1.2

Verify Use TLS 1.1 and 1.2 are not checked and USE TLS 1.0 checked.

Now try to download update again.

If you are still getting same issue, then you would have to perform clean install.

• Firstly, you need to uninstall QuickBooks by going control panel > Add and Remove program > Uninstall QuickBooks.

Now search for Intuit folder and rename it. Download and Run “QuickBooks Clean Install Tool
Once all folders are renamed, now you can try to reinstall QuickBooks by installing download link or disk.

Now try to download update in QuickBooks again

If you face same issues after clean install as well then you need to follow below steps:-

If you are using Windows XP then you may face some challenges, Microsoft has updated root certificate causing the 15223 errors. You need to download new root download from below mentioned link:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35945
Save this file on desktop, it would be named as GetRoot.
Now double click on GetRoot > Click install Certificate> Next > Next > Finish.

Now try to download QuickBooks updates again.

If all above mentioned steps does not work then you need to check windows firewall or antivirus configuration.

• Clear Internet Explorer SSL State.
Follow instructions:
Open Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Content > Select clear SSL State.
Restart computer now and try to download updates in QuickBooks.

  1. I can’t get my quickbooks to do the payroll updates. It says I am using taxable version 22201, but when I try to update payroll it says “You have retrieved the latest payroll update and validated your payroll subscription. We strongly recommend that you go online again before 12/17/2021. (PS038). using Enterprise Solutions 22.0
